Back To School Plan Revised

Updated 9/2/2021

Dear Parents and Guardians of the Amazing King's School Students,

We know that you've been wondering and waiting for information regarding how the newest state mandates will affect King's. Thank you for your patience. The School Management Team (with its newest members, Kristy Fischer and Matt White!) met last night along with the Medical Team to review these new guidelines and how to best implement them at King's.

BEFORE we dive into these changes, please know that our hearts and our calling have remained the same. We are still passionately pursuing God's best for King's and its staff and students, and we refuse to let the government's changing rules keep us from doing what God has called us to do. If you are troubled or concerned about ANY of these items, please contact us directly on our cell phones. We want to hear from you right away, so we can know your hearts and know how to best support you throughout these requirements.

Click here for the Revised Parent/Guardian Plan. (You may want to open it and read it first, before continuing with this message.) Among the revisions is the END of Daily Morning Screenings! Hooray!

You will also notice the new wording under the Mask section: "Masks will be worn, as per guidelines. Frequent mask breaks will be provided."

We are required to obey the mandates issued to us by the Department of Health and the Department of Education. However, our small school size, combined with other specific traits and needs of The King's School, has allowed us to take "frequent mask breaks."

You may be thinking, "What does that mean?"

We will have reasonable mask expectations for our students and staff. We will NOT be creating an environment where we are policing mask-wearing. We are asking that you trust us to care for your whole child, including their physical, mental, and spiritual health. We continue to promise to you that we will care for your kids to the best of our ability, not sacrificing any part of their health or development. If you would like further information on how this works out practically, please contact Cory, Wayne, or Kellie right away.
Our cell phone numbers are supplied at the bottom of this email.

As you prepare your students for the start of this year, please know that we are praying for you. We believe that God has a GREAT year ahead of us, filled with His faithfulness. We look forward to seeing you at Open House on Tuesday.

With much love,

Kellie Girling, Wayne Patterson, and Cory Patterson
