This week at The King's School
An important reminder from The Health Office and the School Management Team:
This is a reminder of the importance of keeping home our kids who are not feeling well and keeping students out until our guidelines specify it is safe for their return. Here are four major guidelines we would like to highlight:
- Students must be fever-free WITHOUT medication for 24 hrs with any illness.
- If a student is coughing or has a runny nose, even with no fever, the student must stay home until these symptoms are gone.
- Students must be tested for Covid if they have any of these symptoms: runny nose, cough, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, body aches, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, or fever/chills.
- Students who are out awaiting a COVID test result may ONLY RETURN AFTER a parent has provided a copy of the negative test result. Relying on the doctor's office to provide this information has not proved effective.
King's is working with our medical team to update our policies in accordance with new state guidelines to help get your students back to school quicker, and keep them in school longer! We know it is a source of frustration when your children are healthy but are stuck home awaiting test results. However, even with new guidelines, it is imperative that you continue to keep your students home if they have COVID symptoms.
Thank you, everyone, for all you are doing to keep our whole school community healthy and in-person.
PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship) TOMORROW evening!
Our first PFT is tomorrow; Thursday, November 4th @ 6:30PM. It will be a friendly and informal evening, with a few announcements, some corporate prayer, time for questions and answers, and coffee and fellowship to close the night. We know that face-to-face communication was so limited last year, and we have missed getting to sit with you and hear what's on your heart. We are so thankful for the opportunity to be able to meet together again this year. Masks are required for this time we will share together.
Fall Clean-Up Day
Saturday, November 6th from 8am-2pm. We are looking for volunteers. Lunch will be provided. All ages are welcome. Email Cory Patterson at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are planning to attend. Thank you for considering helping with this need.
